Your Organization Contact

Every partnering organization is required to have an official contact person. This person is to be a part of your staff, ideally having been involved with your organization for a substantial time, informed of all that your organization does, and able to designate a small portion of his time when needed towards preparing and supporting incoming volunteers.

The organization contact will also be the person who our team will communicate and develop project proposals with. Should there be any emergency involving the safety or wellbeing of a volunteer, the organization contact will be responsible for ushering the individuals to safety and contacting the Regional Director immediately. In selecting your organization contact, consider someone who has the following qualities:

Basic computer skills and holds weekly access to the internet
Ability to speak and write in English well and can communicate with volunteers
Ability to assist in project management planning
Ability to provide introduction to your organizations and support while volunteers are there.
Represents your organization well
Will work patiently and respectfully with foreign volunteers
